A popular high school teacher assassinates a vicious criminal on the courthouse steps. The teacher could have gotten away with it… if he had stopped killing right there.
Adrian, an American exchange teacher in the Caribbean, gets mixed up with four vigilantes, all members of his church, when a woman he had once loved is brutally raped and murdered. The group’s plan is to assassinate five of the country’s most vicious criminals to send a message: to the criminals – that the people of the island paradise refuse to let the criminals thrive, and to the politicians - that they have to deal expeditiously with crime.
The plan works well until Adrian starts a private war with Rick Slater – the man who sold him a bad computer. Adrian causes Rick’s business to go bankrupt and as payback, Rick burns Adrian’s house down, threatens his life, and tries to run over his elderly relatives. That is enough to make Adrian trip… and to pull the trigger.
It is Adrian’s burning rage and his impulse for revenge that causes a jury to see the people’s heroes guilty of premeditated murder and to send them all to jail. But the country riots and set the prisoners free.
